Julianne Kocer

Ms. Julianne Kocer is an Estate Planning / Elder Law attorney serving clients in the Washington Counties of King, Snohomish, Pierce, Thurston, Mason, Grays Harbor, and Pacific. She practices in the legal areas of wills, trusts, Medicaid, disability programs, probate, and real estate. Julie is an active member of the Washington State Bar Association and is also licensed to practice law in Minnesota. She received her J.D. degree from William Mitchell College of Law in St. Paul, Minnesota and is a frequent speaker on estate planning and long term care topics for continuing legal education credit seminars and for community social organizations. Julie formerly served on the executive committee of the Elder Law Section of the Washington State Bar Association where she developed the Section’s first grant program. She is also a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys serving on the board of its Washington Chapter and as its Legislative Co-Chair. Julie was named the 2004 NAELA Member of the Year by her fellow colleagues. Her article titled, “Medicaid Planning for Our Seniors,” appears in the 2002 Educational Manual of Credit Professionals International and her additional publications can be seen in SENIORguidebook-winter 2004 edition, and at ‘www.edmondsforum.com.’ Additionally, Julie was named a “Rising Star” in Washington Law and Politics, December/January 2004 edition and again in the December/January 2005 and 2006 editions by the ‘SuperLawyers’ of Washington state, an award granted to only 2.3 percent of attorneys statewide.
